About the Role

This is a senior communications role that requires an advanced level of professional and technical expertise in promoting and protecting the IsDB brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective PR and communications strategies both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a comprehensive PR and communications strategy to raise awareness about the organisation, internally and externally, and engage key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality content for IsDB's communications programs, adapting and localising central messaging.
  • Liaise closely with IsDB's Internal Communications Division to conceptualise and tailor communication contents appropriate to specific regions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to proactively identify stories to share with internal and external audiences.
  • Raise awareness about IsDB's presence in regional and member countries media.
  • Provide support with press conferences and on-the-ground activities as required.
  • Build editorial relationships with influential regional and international media.
  • Manage incoming enquiries and arrange interviews with IsDB spokespeople in regional markets.
  • Secure extensive on-message coverage by supporting external tours and placing opinion pieces, news stories, and feature articles.
  • Share knowledge on the latest trends in PR and Communications management.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in PR and Communications management and implement them in IsDB.
  • Support the Manager, Outreach Communications in leading the marketing team and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Design and implement robust social media campaigns to increase visibility of IsDB projects.
  • Create engaging content for the IsDB website.
  • Generate content from operations and regional hubs on IsDB interventions for dissemination on IsDB channels and digital platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in communications roles within global organisations, with demonstrated success.
  • Extensive experience in communications campaigns, with measurable success.
  • Experience working in multiple regions on communications campaigns, including regional toolkit development.

Language Requirements
