About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Data Center Operations Manager to lead our Cluster Operations team. As a key member of our Data Center Operations organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational availability of network and server systems at scale, ensuring the highest standards for safety and security, and providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of Data Center Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of their duties.
  2. Operational Performance: Attain organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency in support of our data center operations.
  3. Supervisory Responsibilities: Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to established standards.
  4. Operational Goals: Account for meeting and exceeding operational goals, driving continuous improvement and innovation in our data center operations.
  5. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for the Cluster Operations team, including forecasting, performance appraisal, and talent development.
  6. Team Development: Focus on team learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability) development perspective, including mentoring and training.
  7. Operational Best Practices: Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the globe, driving consistency and excellence in our data center operations.
  8. Team Management: Hire, manage, and develop the operations management team, including data center managers and data center operations technicians.
  9. Infrastructure Operations: Plan and execute the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data center build-outs, new colocation build-outs, AWS data center expansions, and colocation expansions, including the network and server rack infrastructure to facilitate daily operations.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Experience in successful insourcing and/or outsourcing specific task balancing internal skillsets with frugality, driving continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.

Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
  2. Experience: Relevant work experience in Data Center, IT Operations, or a similar field.
  3. People Management: Experience of people management, including supervising and leading teams.
  4. Technical Skills: Experience working with computer components and operating systems.
  5. Nationality: Must be a Saudi national.
  6. Master's Degree: Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  7. Data Center Experience: Experience working in a Data Center environment.
  8. LEAN/6 Sigma: Experience implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (continuous improvement, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc.).
  9. IT Infrastructure: Experience with information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, cabling best practices, and IT service delivery principles and best practices.
