Job Description

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Design Oversight: Direct and participate in the creation of detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for new products and systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and expertise in mechanical design, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of product reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Innovation: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in design processes and technologies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, changes, and updates.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 13 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within Retail, Residential, Hospitality, etc projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD), and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.
