Welding and Fabrication
Welding operations: Perform welding tasks using various methods (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) to join metal parts together based on blueprints or technical drawings.
Weld design interpretation: Interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine the type and location of welds required.
Metal preparation: Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and shaping parts to meet specifications.
Fabrication: In some cases, fabricate metal structures or components from scratch, assembling parts according to designs and specifications.
Quality Control and Inspection
Inspect welds: Examine finished welds to ensure that they meet specified standards and quality criteria, such as strength, durability, and appearance.
Test welds: Use various testing methods (e.g., visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, X-ray) to assess the quality and integrity of welds and to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance: Make sure that all welding operations comply with industry standards, codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, or API), and safety regulations.
Corrective actions: Identify and correct any defects in welding, such as Maintenance of Equipment
Maintain welding tools: Regularly maintain and calibrate welding machines, tools, and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Troubleshooting equipment: Diagnose and resolve issues with welding machines, gas systems, and other equipment to avoid production delays.
Replace worn parts: Replace or repair welding equipment parts, such as nozzles, wires, or tips, when necessary to maintain the quality of welding.

Diploma or welding certificate.
5 years' experince in fabrication works.
Safety and Compliance
Safety practices: Adhere to all safety protocols, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmets, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing.
Fire prevention: Take precautions to prevent fire hazards by managing combustible materials and using fire extinguishers when necessary.
Workplace safety: Follow safety procedures to avoid injuries related to welding, such as burns, electrical shock, and exposure to harmful fumes or gases.
Environmental compliance: Ensure that all welding activities comply with environmental standards, including waste management and the control of hazardous emissions or fumes.
Collaboration and Communication
Teamwork: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure that welding work aligns with project goals and timelines.
Reporting issues: Report any discrepancies, defects, or safety hazards to supervisors in a timely manner.
Customer communication: In some cases, welding technicians may communicate with clients to ensure that their specific requirements are met.
