Roles and responsibilities

Deliver the Almarai Business Plan by expanding the quality culture.
Implement global best practices and technical innovations to enhance quality systems.
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Lead the development of food safety, quality, and risk management systems.
Quality Management Strategy:

Develop and implement the overall quality management strategy for the organization, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry standards.
Lead the creation of the quality policy, procedures, and guidelines that reflect the company's commitment to producing high-quality products or services.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality benchmarks to evaluate the company's performance in meeting quality standards.
Continuously assess and improve the quality management system (QMS) to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance and Control:

Oversee and ensure the implementation of rigorous quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes across all departments, from production to final product delivery.
Monitor the entire production or service delivery process to identify and address quality issues before they affect the customer.
Conduct audits and inspections to verify that internal processes, practices, and products meet the quality standards set by the organization and regulatory bodies.
Investigate any non-conformities, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage the quality team, including QA/QC managers, inspectors, and other quality professionals.
Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to ensure the team is well-equipped to meet quality objectives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to identify areas for enhancement in processes and practices.
Set clear expectations and performance goals for the quality team, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
Regulatory Compliance and Certifications:

Ensure that all products and services meet regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, CE marking, etc.).
Lead efforts to maintain and obtain certifications and accreditations that demonstrate compliance with recognized quality standards.
Keep abreast of changes in quality regulations and standards and ensure the organization adapts to new requirements effectively.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits, addressing any compliance gaps promptly.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in food quality, Animal Processing, or a related discipline.
Formal HACCP Qualification.
Formal ISO Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Qualification.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 15 years in a senior/group QA management role within the food industry, preferably with a focus on sustainable food and beverage production in a multinational context.
Proven expertise in food safety, quality, and risk system development.
Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements in the relevant industry (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, etc.).
Expertise in statistical analysis tools, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen).
Experience with quality management software and systems (e.g., ERP, QMS software).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments, vendors, and senior management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills to address issues with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
