**DUTIES **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Planning Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

- Establish the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in coordination with the Project;
- Develop and maintain detailed deliverable lists for each design project in coordination with Project/Engineering Manager;
- Develop detailed schedules with resource/cost loading at the activity level;
- Monitor cost and commitment through requisition and invoice review;
- Ensure active engagement of team members by delegation of tasks according to established plan to the appropriate person both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis;
- Ensure adherence to schedule and recommend best practices for project management to meet deadlines or deliverables;
- Coordination and regulating various meetings such as project review meetings as required on a daily, weekly or monthly basis;
- Identify delays and devise and advise strategies to overcome delays;
- Develop and monitor project schedule and cost forecasts;
- Provide vital inputs to daily and periodic project progress and status reports to top management and other stakeholders, make the management information system (MIS) reports;
- Monitor, track, forecast and report project cash flow;
- Plan and prepare man hour budgets, and schedules in consultation with project team and manager;
- Prepare and submit financial analysis reports, budget performance and forecast;
- Suggest project control and management system improvement to meet project/ company goals;
- Be able to prepare /supervise on preparing project setup and close out documentation;
- Attend meetings (both internally and externally) and discuss/present schedule/progress related matters;
**QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in an engineering discipline from a reputable college or university;
- Experience of engineering planning work in FEED/EPC projects;
**PHYSICAL AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**
- Must be in good health, physically fit & active;
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken, be able to communicate with colleagues and managers effectively;
- Experience in preparing and assisting project manager for project management plans;
- Must be able to provide detailed audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures;
- Must be able to assist project manager to create a realistic project management plan;
- Be able to judge if the variances need change request and inform project manager;
- Must have good analytical skills, interpersonal skills and team-working skills;
- Must have well-developed planning and organizing skills;
- Must have good knowledge about work sequence and relations between different disciplines;
- Must have positive attitude, very dynamic, highly motivated and hardworking;
- Must be flexible and have ability to work under pressure to meet the demands of projects;
