Parsons is seeking a **Commercial Manager **for a project in Riyadh. T his position is accountable for the development of strategy and execution of commercial management.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the projects and ensure that commercial staff attains their maximum potential.
- Interact with clients and address all inquiries related to commercial and contracts maximizing the profitability of projects.
- Payment of contractors and consultants
- Internal cost comparisons and cost projections
- Analysis of cost over-run and other implications.
- Negotiation of subcontracts.
- Preparation of contractor pre-contract work packages; manage bid process; tender analysis
- Negotiate final accounts
- Maintain payment logs, variation logs, and claims logs
- Review variation submissions
- Review construction cost reports submitted by Cost Consultant
- Draft and review contractual letters
- Review and respond to Claims
- Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues
- Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements
- Ensure that quantity reconciliations are conducted accurately by the Cost Consultant
- Assist in the preparation of internal invoices
- Responsibility for all financial contractual issues arising during the course of his contract.
- Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation for clients.
**What Skills You'll Bring**:
- BSc engineering, quantity surveying, or equivalent.
- 20 years minimum overall relevant experience, with 12 years in large-scale infrastructure projects and 5 years experience in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.
- Knowledge of partnering contracts.
- Knowledge of traditional and design and build contracts.
- Good team player and communicator.
- Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
