**1- PURPOSE**
- To build and lead the ESG advisory team the mandate of which is to provide integrated solutions and products to customers of the energy value chain on their journey to net zero. The team shall have deep technical knowledge of the environmental opportunities and challenges facing customers as well as the evolving regulatory context and its impacts. Although social and governance matters shall not be ignored, focus will be on sustainability, circularity, decarbonization and offset solutions for hard to abate GHG emissions. The team will work in conjunction with the three business streams of the Corporation, namely Corporate Banking, Investments and Treasury to provide advice, expertise, and financing solutions. To build the practice, the Corporation is contemplating the establishment of highly targeted partnerships with recognised players in their field of expertise. Also, the Corporation intends to be actively engaged with regulators and industry bodies. Finally, to provide end to end solutions to its customers, the Corporation will provide sustainable finance products, including green facilities, sustainable linked loans, as well as carbon offset financing across the entire carbon offset cycle.**2- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONS**
- Using technical expertise and industry knowledge, to be responsible for promoting APICORP value proposition.
- Origination, negotiation, and execution of ESG advisory mandates.
- Engagement with partners, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Design of sustainable finance solutions in conjunction with the three business streams, namely Corporate Banking, Investments and Treasury.

**3- REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS**
- In-depth knowledge of the whole chain of the energy industry.
- Solid credentials in financial advisory.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong team management skills.
- Prepared for intensive travel within the Arab World.
- Strong intellect, energy, focus, team playing and open-minded attitude.

**4 - Qualifications & Experience**

**Qualifications**:

- A Master in economics, in Business Administration, in Law or in Engineering from a well-graded university.
- Solid command of Arabic and English.
- Computer literate.

**Experience**:

- A seasoned professional with solid experience in ESG advisory gained within the advisory team of a leading wholesale bank active in the region.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial advisory out of which at least 5 years in ESG advisory.
