Sales Team Leader

**Responsibilities**
- Implements approved departmental policies and procedures and ensures adherence with the processes implemented so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures.
- Handles sales of complex products and/or services and provides technical support to the team to ensure the customer's requirements are met.
- Develops key internal stakeholder relationships to ensure the overall business context is understood and the best product and/or service is delivered to customers.
- Responds to and resolves complex or escalated customer/client issues and complaints related to sale deals to increase customer retention and satisfaction.
- Manages the selling cycle for nominated customers from appointment through to sales closure so that sales opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Benchmarks company products and/or services features and performance against those of competitors so that the company is aware of market trends and can offer products/services that are competitive in the market.
- Develops and manages relationships with a portfolio of clients/agents/intermediaries.
- Manages and motivates a sales team to ensure that they perform and provide a consistent service to customers and meet their sales targets.

**Qualifications**
- BSc Business Administration, Marketing or in any related field with 4 years of related experience, 2 years of which in a supervisory position. OR
- Diploma with 6 years relevant sales experience with 6 years of experience.
