Hostess Job Description
Summary:
The Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests in a friendly and efficient manner. The Hostess acts as the first point of contact for customers and plays a key role in creating a positive dining experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all guests in a warm and courteous manner.
- Manage the restaurant seating chart and ensure efficient table turns.
- Estimate wait times accurately and communicate them to guests.
- Maintain the host stand and welcome area in a clean and organized fashion.
- Answer incoming phone calls, take reservations, and handle customer inquiries.
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and other staff to ensure guests are seated promptly.
- Assist with basic food runner duties as needed.
- Uphold restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and table management.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and reservation software.
- Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: ﷼4,500.00 - ﷼5,500.00 per month
