**About the Role**
As a Team Leader at Unipart Logistics you will lead, manage, coach, motivate, and engage a team of people to coordinate activities to achieve business goals through effective process management, continuous improvement, quality, and a focus on self-development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and improve the operating environment through establishing and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety
Proactively use problem solving techniques to explore and promote any initiatives that support driving costs down
- Analyse and maintain accurate and robust daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control, and improve performance
- Provide weekly daily and monthly performance reports and develop and maintain visual management boards for the team
- Monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators and costs against budget to ensure targets are reached
- Promote flexibility through skills training and personal development to meet future and current team capability targets
- Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary, ensuring weekly reviews
- Create and maintain a positive team culture and spirit, encouraging involvement from all team members when sharing group, divisional, and team information
- Work with appropriate parties to provide solutions to team issues taking account of the appropriate policies and ethical practice
- Manage customer interfaces and expectations to ensure excellent customer service is received
- Manage manufacturer accreditation to ensure it is maintained and delivered

- Good educational background (including Mathematics and English)
- Experience of managing and leading a team
- Good communication skills - spoken, listening, reading, and writing
- Good IT skills with skills in Microsoft Office
- Proven logical thinker with skills in understanding and interpreting data
- Commitment to self-development and team development
- Experience of adapting to and leading programmes of change
- Awareness of health and safety standards
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service
