Job Details
Our client is a startup company located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will be designing and manufacturing a range of marine engines from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engines for small-mid-large size ships.

Brief Description
4-stroke Engine Design Engineer shall 1) Develop the production design for mechanical parts with the customer to satisfy the requirement and quality of the engine in a timely manner. 2) Develop the part list of drawings and issuing of PORs. 3) Troubleshoot the engine issues during engine production, acceptance test and in-service. 4) Manage and control engine issues during engine production, acceptance test and in-service.

**The major responsibilities are**:

- Design the structure parts such as base frame, engine block, front end block and engine platforms or moving parts that convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotating motion or combustion parts such as turbocharger, fuel supply/injection system, intake/exhaust system and so on.
- Utilize CAD program to design the 3D modeling of engine components and assemble the modeling into the engine assembly and inspect the modeling and find the fault of the modeling before manufacturing.
- Utilize CAD program to make 2D drawing of the modeling by complying with the rule of CAD drawing, licensor, KSA and ISO standard, etc. and derive the information necessary to manufacture the engine components properly and express it on the drawing.
- Make the accurate and complete set of part lists of the drawings to be manufactured by the sub-suppliers without fault and issue PORs (Purchase Order Requests) for components in quality and quantity specified in a timely manner. Troubleshooting the engine when various kinds of quality issues are arising from the production shop or customers such as vibration, noise, and alignment.
- Manage the NCR (Non-Conformity Report) and LOD (List of Differences) with the licensor.
- Share the technical trend and issue and solve the engineering problem with technical partners and the licensor.
- Optimize the design to reduce the material cost.

**Qualifications**:
**You must be able to demonstrate and evidence the following**:

- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Work Experience: ideally 7+ years’ experience in 4-stroke engine production (In the same industry)
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English
