**Job Summary***:Project Controls Director - Offshore Oil and Gas Platform Projects**

Our client is looking for a seasoned Project Controls Director for Offshore Oil and Gas Platform Projects, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of project controls functions to ensure successful planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management throughout the life cycle of offshore oil and gas platform projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in offshore projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Project Planning and Scheduling**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules for offshore platform projects, incorporating all key milestones and activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure alignment of project schedules with overall project objectives.
- Monitor progress and identify potential delays, implementing corrective actions as needed.

**2. Cost Control**:

- Establish and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage project-related expenses and ensure financial objectives are met.

**3. Risk Management**:

- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies.
- Work closely with project teams to anticipate potential issues and provide proactive solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive risk register and communicate risk status to relevant stakeholders.

**4. Performance Measurement and Reporting**:

- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for project controls functions.
- Generate regular reports on project performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on performance data.

**5. Change Management**:

- Manage change control processes, assessing the impact of changes on project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure proper documentation of change orders and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

**6. Communication and Collaboration**:

- Foster effective communication and collaboration between project controls, project management, engineering, and other relevant teams.
- Act as a liaison between project controls and senior management, providing regular updates on project status and performance.

**7. Continuous Improvement**:

- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the project controls function.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance project controls processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in project controls roles within the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing project controls for large-scale offshore platform projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management software, scheduling tools, and cost control methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
