**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct inspection and surveillance of all welding activities, including fit-up, root pass, intermediate passes, and final welding.
- Verify welding parameters, procedures (WPS), and qualifications of welders (WPQ).
- Perform visual inspections and coordinate with NDT teams for RT, UT, MT, or PT testing as required.
- Ensure correct usage of approved filler materials, electrodes, and welding consumables.
- Review and approve weld maps, traceability records, and weld logs.
- Identify and document non-conformances, monitor corrective actions, and follow up for closure.
- Witness and verify welder qualification tests in coordination with QA/QC and client representatives.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records, test reports, and final dossiers for turnover.
- Liaise with site engineers, construction teams, and third-party inspectors for quality control coordination.
- Ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance with HSE and quality policies.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Education**: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- **Experience**: Minimum **3-5 years** of experience in welding inspection in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

**Certifications**:
**Mandatory**:

- **CSWIP 3.1** or **AWS-CWI** (Certified Welding Inspector)
- **QA/QC Certification** or Internal Auditor (ISO 9001)

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge of ASME, API 1104, AWS D1.1, or other relevant welding codes.

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, etc.), joint types, and material grades.
- Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping/welding systems.

**Languages**: Fluent in English (written & spoken); Arabic is a plus.

**Other**: High attention to detail, excellent documentation, and communication skills.
