**Job Purpose**
- Manages the Mechanical Maintenance section's activities to ensure no harm to people and reliable plant operation in line with business objectives and a continuous improvement program. Also responsible for mechanical maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and plant turnarounds. Ensures that all mechanical maintenance work is carried out in accordance with approved safety standards and procedures.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Manages the activities of Mechanical Maintenance personals. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Management.- Develops and implements the mechanical maintenance reliability program.- Oversees the development and implementation of mechanical maintenance procedures- Ensures that mechanical maintenance work is carried out efficiently at minimum cost and in accordance with approved safety standards.- Ensures mechanical resources are dedicated to individual plants to meet normal requirements and that additional resources are assigned as required to meet abnormal breakdown or turnaround requirements. Responsible for the maximum utilization in the field.- Assists in the development maintenance KPI's to ensure responsiveness to customers and to promote continuous improvement.- Ensures all relevant engineering standards and procedures are followed during plant repairs and alterations by in-house and contract resources.- Proposes the annual mechanical maintenance budget for each plant in conjunction with the relevant plant manager, monitors performance and highlights the reasons for deviations monthly.- Coaches and develops team members to promote individual growth and promote internal succession in line with Saudization objectives.- Supports the development and implementation of the maintenance workflow process and maintenance execution system.- Reviews and optimizes mechanical maintenance staffing levels in conjunction with each plant manager on an ongoing basis. Manages the use of contract mechanical maintenance resources to minimize overall business costs.- Ensures mechanical equipment failures are analyzed and improvement recommendations are implemented to prevent repeat failures.- Identifies critical spare parts and specialized tools and ensures their availability in compliance with the reliability centered maintenance program. Supports the development of specifications and supplier lists for spare parts to enable ordering/reordering.- Participates in Emergency Response and Command activities as required.- Ensures that all mechanical personnel and contractors are fully briefed on the Company's HSE regulations and adhere to them.- Leads safety and housekeeping audits in the plants.- Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned by management.

**Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
**Minimum Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering**Minimum Experience**:
8+years’ experience in SAP Plant Maintenance. Strong preference will be given to previous experience in the same process industry. Project engineering experience is an asset.**Ma’aden High-Performance Competencies**:
