Parsons is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Engineer to join our team In this role you will get to **work within a reputable team as part of a Major Roads PMO.**

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Meets construction management operational standards by contributing to Program plans and forward thinking
- Performs quality control assessments by reviewing design documents, project specifications and performance standards; recommending actions
- Assists with the creation project/Program procedures to guide project management staff in meeting project/Program goals and milestones, monitoring and evaluating schedules, identifying variances, tracking and follow up, and implementing corrective actions
- Assists in preparation of monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing program data and trends
- Supports meetings with the contractor and/or stakeholders including weekly progress meetings, quality, scheduling and phasing, and other coordination or field activities as they occur
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Support the higher Managers with site visits, documentation and reports
- Support the Design Manager with quality assurance reviews, reports and database management.
- Assists senior construction expert in the establishment and implementation of a job safety program.
- Supervises the program to identify and eliminate or control hazards to persons or property on the job site.
- Reports to the construction expert and clients safety lead.
- Sees that the safety plan reflects corporate policy and complies with the prevailing safety requirements for the region.
- Assists in the establishment and management of the job safety program by developing the HSE management plan, risks in line with client’s HSE plan and parsons policies.
- Reviews accidents record analysis, and chairs meetings to discuss reports on a regularly scheduled basis mainly weekly and monthly.
- Monitors the safety performance of all construction operations in assigned job site areas, or in respect to one or more functions of the job safety program.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements
- minimum five (15) years, and above working as HSE representative
- Must have minimum bachelors degree in Civil Engineering post-graduate professional experience in the field of Health and Safety.
- An industry recognized HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH International Certificate (or similar).
- Accreditations from IOSH, ISO (management systems) is preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate experience and capability of auditing against existing Management Systems as well as standards and regulations. Good English communication and interpersonal skills.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:

- Previous working in PMO or large PMC on major Roads programs
- Regional or GCC experience of 3+ year preferred
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
