We live inclusion. **Project Overview**: *** **Role Summary**: **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: The Client is embarking upon a significant capital program to create the capital of entertainment, sports, and the arts in Riyadh. The program will be an integrated destinations offering immersive experiences and memorable moments of delight. The program will involve parallel development and execution of a broad range of assets encompassing leisure, sports, cultural, retail, hospitality, religious, residential, transport and infrastructure. As a member of the Senior Management team, the Director Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability (HSES) role is considered a key function for providing accountability to develop the HSES strategies and execution plans required for the project. This role will be given the authority to execute approved strategies and plans for the project and prepare and drive the team to meet evolving project’s needs. The role will also provide and seek regular feedback and input from the Senior Management team and Client stakeholders. The following provides a summary of essential duties and responsibilities applicable to the role: - Develop, maintain, and implement a Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Program, policies, procedures, processes, guidelines, and contractual requirements. - Establish and operate a central Health & Safety function that will be responsible for the overall management of Health & Safety requirements and oversight on the Client's supervision consultants and contractors. The central function will support all Projects. - Monitor the Health & Safety performance of Projects. - Develop, maintain and update contractor welfare and accommodation (labour camp) requirements taking into account the Saudi government's requirements and the Client's requirements. - Inspect, monitor and oversee the welfare and accommodation of the Client's contractors onsite and offsite. - Share and distribute Safety Alerts/ Bulletins and Lessons Learned - Operate in accordance with the Clients Environmental Sustainability Policy - Promote an ethic of environmental sustainability - Establish and operate a central Health & Safety function responsible for the overall Health & Safety management and oversight of the client supervision consultants and contractors. The central function will support all Projects. - Take all measures to confirm whether the supervision consultants and contractors comply with all Health & Safety requirements. - Establish and operate a central Environment and Sustainability function responsible for the overall ES management and oversight of the Client supervision consultants and contractors. - Take all measures to confirm whether the supervision consultants and contractors comply with all ES requirements. - Provide input and support to ensure HSES requirements are considered and captured as part on the design development process. **Technical and speciality skills**: Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or relevant field of study. 25+ years of experience working within Mega/large scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors. Must have hands-on experience in delivering projects and have a sound technical and commercial working knowledge.
