Manager, Customer Contracts
**Role Summary**
The Customer Contract Manager is responsible for reviewing, approving, and managing client contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, occasional client interaction, and providing support during both the bid and execution stages. The Customer Contract Manager will also contribute to developing standard contract templates and policies to enhance efficiency and consistency.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Contract Review and Approval**
- Review client contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and operational capabilities.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, ambiguities, or liabilities in contract terms and conditions.
- Approve contracts after ensuring they meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
**2. Bid Stage Support**
- Analyze draft contracts during the bidding process to identify terms or conditions that may affect costs, exclusions, or operational feasibility.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to address contractual considerations before finalizing bids.
**3. Contract Execution Support**
- Assist the commercial team with resolving client-related contractual issues during project execution.
- Provide expertise during client meetings, when required, to address and clarify contractual matters.
**4. Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Work closely with internal teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure contract terms align with business objectives.
- Act as the point of contact for contract-related queries and clarifications across the organization.
**5. Template and Policy Development**
- Support the creation and maintenance of standardized contract templates to streamline the review process.
- Develop and recommend policies to ensure consistency and compliance in contract management practices.
**6. Documentation and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate records of all reviewed and approved contracts.
- Generate reports for management on contract trends, risks, and resolutions.
**7. Travel**
- Be available for travel as needed to support client meetings or contract-related discussions.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in managing and reviewing government and company contracts, with relevant project-based experience.
- **Soft Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
**Additional Information**
- The role involves managing a team and collaborating across functions to achieve organizational goals.
