Head, Quality Management

Plans, organizes and coordinates the overall quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation activities in order to achieve the Organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Leads Healthcare Delivery (HD)-wide accreditation process in collaboration with the accreditation Committee by linking the quality improvement process to the external and internal performance standards.
2. Provides direction and management of the HD-wide performance improvement (PI), patient safety and accreditation activities and helps develop related HD plans.
3. Enhances HD-wide staff awareness in relation to quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation through education, effective communication, and interdisciplinary project management activities.
4. Assigns work, establishes priorities, monitors performance and submits periodical clear and concise reports. Ensures all transactions processed are authentic and in accordance with Organization’s policies / procedures and governmental regulations, as applicable.
5. Perform clinical responsibilities within related specialty such as (Nursing, Laboratory, Respiratory, Pharmacy, etc.) as assigned.
6. Monitors, assesses and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery processes, internal reporting relationships, and identifies opportunities or areas for improvement.
7. Maintains collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, best practices and regulatory guidelines related to job functions.
8. Ensures that Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) and other accreditations requirements are met at HD.
9. Monitors the performance and guides the professional development of Quality Management Department.
10. Oversees the development of effective systems for the implementation and tracking of performance projects. Ensures that PI projects are effectively linked with key HD-wide processes and are aligned with the Organization’s mission and vision.
11. Establishes and defines standards for quality assessment and improvement and ensures that there is a mechanism in place for monitoring, evaluation and remedial action.
**Education**:
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Quality Management, Hospital Administration, or other related discipline is required or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other related healthcare discipline is required.
**Experience Required**:
Ten (10) years of related experience with Master's, or twelve (12) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including two (2) years at a managerial position is required.
**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
? Saudi National Only.
? Certificate Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), certified professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or related Healthcare Quality certificate is preferred
