**2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE**:
This position provides overall leadership to Ma’aden Gold operations specifically as it relates to New Mine development, Strategy and Business Planning and Technical Services. The incumbent will be accountable for the general management, oversight, identification, qualification and conversion of all business development, strategy and new mine opportunities in Ma'aden. The incumbent will also be responsible for the generation of qualified pipeline growth necessary to meet or exceed the business area’s forecast and plan.

In addition, this individual will plan and recommend the strategic and business development strategies to achieve maximum customer and market penetration consistent with Ma’aden financial objectives and to drive tactical and strategic growth. The role will provide technical guidance and support to optimize Ma’aden Gold and Base Metal’s existing operations.

**3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
**Qualification**:
1. Masters' Degree in Mine Engineering, Finance or an Earth Science major
2. Relevant Business Management Qualification e.g. MBA preferred

**Experience**:
1. 18 Years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 6 years of leadership experience
2. International experience

1. Function as a member of the Business Development and Technical Services leadership team and as a pivotal member of the functional organization to improve business execution/management and define growth strategies/opportunities across the sector.
2. Grow the pipeline through the identification and qualification of new business opportunities that are consistent with both the Business Area and Sector strategies by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration.
3. Oversee the major strategic activities for Ma’aden Gold and Base Metals, and mentor managers in the organization.
4. Senior level engagement with end customers and partners to support the development of Ma’aden business strategies that improve the quality and depth of our market and competitor intelligence to influence/enhance our strategic direction.
5. Refine and implement a business development and marketing execution strategy and methodology.
6. Support and drive New Mine Development and associated business interests through training, development, data requests, strategy meetings, and networking opportunities.
7. Build a high performance business development, strategy and new mine development team by hiring, developing, and retaining strong talent.
8. Identify/qualify new growth markets to include adjacent markets and customers.
9. Create and execute the multi-year business development strategy.
10. Lead development and execution of the business planning process, including optimization of sustaining capital
