The Design Manager will be responsible to manage the peer review activities of the Design of the architectural works related to the Project, ensure that the Design complies with Standards, Codes, with all the relevant requirements, monitor the quality of the Design and relevant deliverables, whilst ensuring inter-disciplinary coordination.

Reports to the Technical Director
- Responsible for project leadership in design management of the Design Consultant and any other consultant to be engaged on the Project.
- Review and approve Scope, Cost and Schedule Baselines in relation to the design.
- Monitoring the design process and carrying out constructability reviews of the design and manage the design consultant.
- Review of relevant and available information’s, reports, previous studies and recommend related to the Project.
- Facilitate meetings with the steering committee to obtain approval on Phasing Plan.
- Work with the Design Consultant and the Client to finalize the SOW for the Main Contract to complete the construction works.
- Ensure that all designs conforms to the applicable standards and codes.
- Managing the peer design review process in compliance with the Client’s requirements, codes, standards, and local regulations.
- Assure that all the Design Documents are of adequate quality and within the context of scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage and supervise the review of the design per the safety requirements.
- Chairing design reviews/coordination meetings with the Client, consultants and /or contractors as directed by the Project Director and Technical Director.
- Manage the review of design reports, drawings, and specifications at periodic checkpoints.
- Technical assessment of design deviations, substitutions, and alternative solutions proposed by the consultants
- Technical assessment of claims related to civil/structural, architectural, MEP design.
- Highlight significant deviations and changes to the Technical Advisor and Project Director.
- Review of Value Engineering previously done by design consultant with aligning cost savings.

**Requirements**:

- Having 15+ Years of experience in the Building and Infrastructure Projects in the Gulf region.
- A bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design projects
- Be able to manage a multi-cultural team
- Able to bring fresh and innovative ideas
- Excellent communication skills
