**Job Description**:
**The Role**

The Legal Counsel will be responsible providing high-quality and effective day-to-day legal support to Tahaluf, ensuring governance and operational activities remain compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and policies. A trusted partner to the Tahaluf leadership team, you will advise on the key legal risks facing the business and work to develop practical, commercially-minded solutions to these.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing expert legal counsel and guidance on a diverse range of legal issues
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement a legal strategy for Tahaluf that compliments business objectives and ensures compliance with KSA law and internal company policies
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents (including event venue contracts, customer terms and conditions, supply agreements spanning the supply chain, marketing agreements, data processing agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, procurement RFPs with associated terms and collaboration agreements)
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support stakeholder decision-making and the identification and mitigation of potential risks/liabilities
- Managing litigation matters, including disputes and legal claims
- Engagement with colleagues from all areas of the business (both customer-facing and support) and external stakeholders, including representing Tahaluf in front of governmental authorities, regulatory bodies and industry associations
- Working with Group Compliance, Data Privacy and others functions on compliance, privacy and other governance/internal audit matters, covering issues such as anti-bribery and corruption, health and safety and trade sanctions
- Working with Company Secretarial to ensure the Tahaluf company constitutional documents remain up-to-date and in compliance with KSA legislation
- Liaising with external legal counsel to obtain specialist legal advice and support as required

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Education Level**
- Qualified lawyer
- Educated to degree level or equivalent

**Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience**

**Essential**
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience
- Arabic and English language skills both essential
- Motivated, self-starter mindset and approach
- Prior experience of building effective working relationships with clients in a business essential
- Prior in-house experience and/or experience within the events industry desirable but not essential
