**Job Description and Qualifications**

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES**

The Quality Assurance lead has the responsibility and commensurate authority to accomplish the following duties:
- To prepare the Quality Assurance section of the Project Quality Plan.
- Defining the QA audits and corresponding schedule.
- To coordinate in conjunction with the project team reps, the development and maintenance of the project quality performance indicators (QPIs).
- To define the requirements for supplier’s and contractor’s quality assurance programs and ensure that they are included in the contracts.
- To audit the Project Quality Plan to assure its effective implementation.
- Act as the Lead Auditor for the project audits
- To monitor and control the flow of corrective and preventive Action Requests issued during project audits and close off once found acceptable.
- To assist the Project Quality Manager in the development and implementation of an induction and training plan to ensure that project personnel are familiarized with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan.
- To follow up on requested actions discussed with suppliers and contractors regarding their respective QA program.
- To evaluate, assess and audit/survey suppliers and contractor’s quality on a regular basis so as to ensure the desired quality level is maintained.
- To maintain a complete file of Quality Assurance records for all phases of the project.
- Support Discipline Auditors during the Discipline Audit process
- Prepare and develop Audit checklists & Reports
- Monitor the timely and effective close-out of Corrective Actions (CAs), Preventive Actions (PAs), and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)
- Prepare Quality input to the Monthly Progress Report and the Project Status Reviews
- Coordinate lessons learned efforts
- Review, organize, and share relevant lessons learned
- Provide technical direction and expertise to project staff as needed
- Collect project specific feedback (from client, AP staff, third parties)
- Participate in Project Risk sessions and follow-up on the implementation of mitigation strategies

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Diploma holder or higher qualification - bachelor’s degree holder preferred
- Knowledge of the ISO-9000 series International Standards
- Quality Management certification (preferred)
- Competency in the written and spoken business language of the region of employment
- Competency in English a benefit when not a first language
- Lead Auditor certification from a recognized organization
- Conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications
- Experience of 10 years with management & supervisory level with inspection and trade background can be credited towards the project experience
- Quality Assurance Manager may be selected with experience from Oil, Gas and Petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, Communication, etc.
