Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer Specialist - Civil to join our team In this role you will get to **work on one of the fastest growing projects.**

Principal Objective:
Provides professional engineering discipline support to the program projects with particular emphasis on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes. Provides guidance to peers.

2. Organizational Relationship:
Member of the Engineering Department team - Engineering Projects Section. Reports professionally to the Principal Project Engineer/Area Engineering Manager. Frequently interacts with the JCPDI different Department' team members, local Agencies and Government Officials.

3. Major Activities Performed:

- Assist in coordinating the compilation of technical portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP) for both the design and construction portions of assigned projects. Analyzes data pertaining to client requirements to assist in the definition of technical aspects of detailed scope of work.
- Coordinate with engineering the development of design specifications, and ensure adequate information is provided for clarity of interpretation of the required scope of work.
- Participates in the technical evaluation of potential bidders for contracts on assigned projects, and in recommending shortlists of qualified contractors. Coordinates the technical analysis and evaluation of bids proposed.
- Assist in compiling technical portions of definitive contracts.
- Monitors technical progress of A/E contractor. Coordinate the review of design drawings, specifications, manuals, shop drawings, vendor data, calculations and other technical information submitted by the A/E construction contractor for all phases of the contract.
- Provide requested technical information to A/E or construction contractor regarding the interpretation of specifications, and other technical guidance as required. Requests technical information or clarification of submitted data from A/E construction contractor as required.
- Prepare reports and presentations on assigned projects.

4. Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 8 years. Design experience in general civil works is necessary at least for 2 years.
- Professional registration in the appropriate discipline is desirable.
- The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
- A proven record of technical and administrative ability in design management.
- Must be knowledgeable about the standards of civil work.
- Conversant and has working knowledge of Industry Standard software in CE design.
- Computer literate with experience using MS Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation).
