The role is responsible to manage the business in the designated geography/covering multiple cities from planning to execution, managing all DC’s and a sales team of +100 people, direct sales operation as well as Whole Salers and Distributors, and lead the cross functional team that operates in the DC’s, sales/credit/collection in the market, cross channel activation, deliveries to trade.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the business & sales team into achieving AOP NR, Volume, NOPBT and share.
- Deliver excellence in execution across main trade channels: Hypers/Supermarkets, Self Service, C&G, Groceries, Discounters, Wholesale.
- Manage, run and orchestrate the business/full cross functional team in DC’s into working in harmony to achieve business objectives
- Roll out the Perfect Store program transforming and uplifting stores visibility, main shelf, access points and in-store assets as per the targeted plan and number of stores
- Run all trade and consumer activation plans, offers and promotions
- Manage and develop the sales team, build capability and ensure the team is well equipped to deliver best in class service to the trade
- Manage inventory and control procedures, product supplies, logistics and deliveries to the trade
- Manage and optimize Cost To Serve and deliver annual set plans
- Ensure proper roll-out and sustain the implementation of Best Practice Tools within the Region.
- Manage the Merchandising team across channels with company resources and third party service providers
- Manage the relationship with Stockiest & Distributors within the Region
- Continuously assess and report infrastructure requirements within the Region as per market needs
- Assess the Regional sales staffing and skill requirements. Develop plans to address short and long term HR needs within the region.
Qualifications:
- Commercial acumen
- Strategic thinking, ability to design and execute business strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication as well as facilitation skills - Confidence to lead and direct discussion across all levels. Ability to engage and enthuse others with clear, concise communication to reach decision and recommendation.
- Relationship building skills and ability to influence - Ability to influence at all levels and build relationship with key stakeholders including Marketing, IA, HR and Finance.
- Project Management - ability to pull together, manage and lead cross-functional teams. Build critical paths, communicate clearly and maintain focus & momentum against key initiatives.
- Organizational ability - managing a large workload, strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated functional expertise with FMCG Company for a minimum of 8-10 years in a senior managerial role.
