Specialist, Contracts

**Role Summary**

Develops, coordinates, and administers contracts for products and/or services for SAFE. Negotiate, extend, and renegotiate contracts as appropriate. Monitors existing contracts for compliance with terms and conditions.

**Functional Accountability**
- Contributes to achieving the department's strategic objectives through performing own responsibilities and managing direct reports' performance.
- Negotiates establishes, and administers contracts.
- Evaluates or monitor contractor performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Analyses price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine the reasonableness of prices; reviews and interprets contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible.
- Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Ensures contracts and proposals are properly entered into databases and securely maintained.
- Performs risk analysis review for all contractual documents and recommends mitigating options.
- Facilitates the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with before the final payment contract closing.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Business administration. Accounting, Finance, and Law
- Minimum Years of Relevant Experience +3 years.

- Manages the end-to-end tendering and contracting process utilizing data management techniques, including the publishing and management of requests for proposals (RfP), commercial evaluation, negotiation, and selection of vendors and drafting, enforcing and renewing/terminating contracts.

**Procurement needs Planning**
- Ability to perform strategic analysis to identify future procurement needs that accomplish SAFE goals, plan purchase orders, and manage procurement budget.

- Maintains current knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to own fields, such as regulatory framework, standards, and procedures.
