Medina, Saudi Arabia Parsons Full time

Due to the expansion of productivity at our Yanbu Program, on the West Coast of Saudi Arabia, and the increasing size of our Desgin and Engineering Department, Parsons is looking to introduce to the Team a **Design Manager - Electrical **to provide support to all ongoing Projects within the Program.

Primary activities will include:

- Plan and perform engineering work as required across all projects.
- Manage the Engineering Discipline Team to meet program requirements including resource planning, workload prioritization and coordination.
- Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth.
- Review A/E Consultant and Contractor design.
- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Prepare proposals for design including scope of work, concepts, estimates etc.
- Prepare and update technical specifications, guidelines, standards as required.
- Provide technical assistance at all required stages of works from pre-bid through proposals, value engineering, installation and commissioning.
- Process submittals, address RFIs, review vendor and shop drawings.
- Field inspections and field support as required.

- **A BACHELORS DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (or related field) OBTAINED AT A RECOGNIZED WESTERN UNIVERSITY.**:

- IN ADDITION ANY APPLICATNS MUST BE WESTERN TRAINED WITH 15 years Industry experience and a minimum of 10 years in a Senior electrical design capacity.
- Professional Registration / Chartered.
- Fully conversant with International Codes and Standards.
- Extensive experience in the design / design review for large scale industrial / commercial / residential facilities.
- Extensive experience in HV / MV / LV power, lighting, grounding, communications and fire alarm systems, SCADA and ELV systems
- Fully conversant with electrical network analysis software including ETAPs or similar.
- Experienced in design of electrical systems and distribution networks.

Furthermore - extra consideration will be given to applicants with Middle East experience and ideally familiarity with Saudi Building Codes (SBC)
