- Directs, coordinates, and integrates information management resources and systems in support of the contractor support function. Analyses and advises IT Technical Manager on system requirements, design, allocation, implementation, and enhancements. Provides contractor information management, automation support, and advice to provide support and serves as the IMS point of contact/liaison in matters related to contractor information management**Major Duties and Responsibilities**

A. Duties/Responsibilities:
2. Provides assistance, guidance, software support and remediation of architectural/technical issues.

3. Assists in schedule planning and monitoring the automation of contractor support functions to improve efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of records and contractor operations and performance.

4. Provides support in all automation-related infrastructure and servers; automation equipment connectivity and coordinates outsourced support.

5. Researches and develops automation procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency.

7. Reviews and enhance existing knowledge of the technologies utilized in daily operations.

8. Directs the coordination with users of computer systems to determine requirements and deficiencies.

9. Implements improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.

10. Maintains information security policies, processes, procedures, and standards.

11. In collaboration with the Information Security Officer, maintains information security policies, processes, procedures, and standards.

12. Assists IT Technical Manager with Technical Evaluations on incoming IT equipment to ensure compliance of hardware standards as procured

13. Assists IT Technical Manager in maintaining IT inventory

14. Upon work requirement should visit different VA locations for IT support

15. Performs other related duties as required

B. Independence: Acts under the direct supervision of the IT Technical Branch Manager; performs within broad objectives with significant choice of methods, and frequently develops methods to achieve desired results.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None

**Minimum Qualifications**

A. Education Level:
1. Required: An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

2. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.

B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Must possess and retain professional certification(s) relative to IT support technicians, such as CompTIA A+, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).

2. Preferred: Other IT-related certifications.

C. Experience:
1. Required: Experience in Information Technology, LAN or Software Implementation Management.

2. Preferred: Five years’ experience in the above or related fields.

D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Knowledge of Information Management policies, procedures and techniques; knowledge of Network design and support operations network operating systems, software implementation support operations, and PC databases.

2. Strong knowledge in information security and/or network protection.

3. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and writing.

4. MS Windows and MS Office proficient.

5. Valid US or Saudi driver’s license.
