Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Accountant **to join our team

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Payment Processing Assistance: Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payments by reviewing invoices, verifying accuracy, and processing payments to vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Reconciliation Support: Assist in the reconciliation of payment transactions, bank statements, and other financial records to identify discrepancies and support the resolution process under the guidance of senior accountants
- Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payment transactions, such as bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, and aging reports, by gathering and organizing relevant data.
- Compliance Adherence: Adhere to financial regulations and company policies related to payment processing. Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in audits related to payment processing and financial transactions.
- System Assistance: Collaborate with the IT department to navigate and utilize payment systems. Provide support to resolve any technical issues and suggest improvements for streamlined processes.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payments, invoices, and other financial documents. Ensure proper documentation and filing for reference and audit purposes.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with team members in cross-functional departments, such as procurement, finance, and operations, to support and coordinate payment operations effectively.
- Learning and Development: Actively learn and develop accounting skills and knowledge through on-the-job training, attending relevant webinars or courses, and keeping up with industry best practices.
- Administrative Support : Provide general administrative support to the payment department, including organizing files, generating reports, and assisting with other departmental tasks.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum eight years of work experience preferably in payment processing or general accounting.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
