**Job Description**:

- Managed the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server database instances, including clustering, mirroring, and AlwaysOn availability groups, to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Implemented database security measures, including user authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and encryption, to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Developed and optimized database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures to improve performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Conducted performance tuning and optimization activities, including query optimization, index tuning, and database parameter tuning, to enhance database performance and response times.
- Monitored database health and performance metrics using tools such as SQL Server.
- Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, and Performance Monitor, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and issues.
- Implemented backup and recovery strategies, including full, differential, and transaction log backups, and tested restore procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of system failures.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of database security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as clustering, mirroring, replication, and AlwaysOn availability groups.
- Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools, such as SQL Server
- Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, and Performance Monitor.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex database issues and implement effective solutions.
