We are seeking an experienced **Clarity Developer** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and supporting the **Clarity PPM (Project Portfolio Management)** platform to ensure it meets our business needs. You will collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to design and implement solutions that optimize project and portfolio management, improve workflow, and enhance reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Clarity PPM Customization**: Customize and configure the Clarity PPM platform to align with business processes and requirements, including modifying portlets, workflow configurations, and setting up business rules.
- **System Integration**: Implement integrations between **Clarity PPM** and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP systems, HR software, financial systems) using APIs, RESTful services, and web services.
- **Support and Troubleshooting**: Provide technical support to internal teams and end users. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to **Clarity PPM** functionality, performance, and integrations.
- **Testing and Validation**: Ensure proper testing of new features, functionality, and customizations, including performing unit testing and resolving issues identified during testing cycles.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement changes in the system. Understand the business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- **Documentation**: Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and configurations on the **Clarity PPM** platform.
- **Monitoring and Maintenance**: Monitor system performance, ensure the health of the Clarity environment, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as upgrades and patches.
- **Training and Knowledge Sharing**: Assist in training users on new features, processes, or system changes. Share best practices and solutions with team members to ensure continuous improvement.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience**:
- 3+ years of experience working with **Clarity PPM** (formerly CA Clarity).
- Strong hands-on experience with **Clarity customization**, including portlets, workflows, and reporting.
- Proficient in **JavaScript**, **SQL**, **Jelly scripting**, and **Clarity SDK**.
- Experience with **API integrations** (REST, SOAP, etc.) and **system integrations**.
- Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) and business intelligence tools is a plus.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of **Clarity PPM** architecture, functionality, and capabilities.
- Experience with **Clarity's REST APIs**, **web services**, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with **Clarity PPM reporting** and business analytics.
- Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze issues, debug complex problems, and provide creative and effective solutions.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and be self-driven when working independently.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with **Clarity PPM** version upgrades, patching, and system migrations.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, particularly Agile, and how they relate to Clarity PPM functionality.
- Certifications related to **Clarity PPM** or project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum).
- Familiarity with **business intelligence tools** (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for Clarity reporting and data visualization.
