Respiratory Therapist

**Main Purpose of the job**

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of clinical practice. Work performed in accordance with physician collaboration. Defined duties are performed in neonatal, paediatric, and adult patient populations in intermediate wards, intensive, PFT, sleep lab and emergency care areas in collaboration with Respiratory Therapist

**Key Responsibility Area**

1. ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU

2. Emergency Department

3. Pulmonary function lab

4. Sleep Lab

5. Medical Wards

**Requirements:Required Job skills and knowledge**
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good working knowledge of word processing equipment, storage/retrieval systems related to medical data
- Ability to communicate with staff, patients and visitors at a senior level.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a pressurized environment.
- Respect department confidentiality code of practice
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

**Reqired Education**:
Bachelor of Science In Respiratory Care / Therapy From A Recognized University or College

**Reqired Experiance**:
2 Years
