Commercial and Govt Relation Manager

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all interactions with governmental and semi-governmental stakeholders that legislate policies and business enablement bodies in Saudi Arabia. This role also involves tracking regulatory changes to ensure that LYB Saudi remains compliant with all legal requirements. Additionally, it is crucial to optimize the benefits available to foreign investors, ensuring that the LYB Saudi legal entity leverages all opportunities to maximize its advantages in the region.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Identify and map all relevant stakeholders in governmental and business-enabling bodies pertinent to the company's operations in Saudi Arabia, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and business enablement bodies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Management and Corporate Affairs, providing leadership on political, policy, and regulatory priorities.
- Develop and implement effective advocacy campaigns for key business priorities that require Saudi Government support or approval.
- Manage administrative lobbying and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to reporting and ethics requirements under Saudi laws.
- Position the company effectively in broader public policy discussions, ensuring it is recognized as a leading industry voice on key legislative, policy, and opportunity priorities.
- Proactively identify and secure new opportunities for government funding or support for the company.
- Lead and manage the company’s government relations initiatives.
- Oversee the company's participation in external business councils and trade associations.
- Represent the company’s interests in relevant government meetings.
- Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies to enhance the company's reputation and brand in collaboration with the communications team.
- Monitor and analyze public opinion and legislative developments that may impact the company's operations or public image.
- Collaborate with various company divisions to determine strategy, input on policy positions, and prioritize resources.
- Identify potential commercial growth opportunities through engagement with governmental entities and liaise with the business development team.
- Facilitate senior management visits with strategic stakeholders as needed.
- Review and assess budgets related to government requirements.
- Support additional tasks required for business growth and continuity.
- Ensure proper protocol is followed in engagements with political and governmental entities.
**Min. Qualifications**:
**Bachelor's degree / Higher Diploma**

- Extensive knowledge of the energy and industrial ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of committees and business enabling organizations in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- PMP certification is preferred.

- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- In-depth understanding of Saudi government protocols.
