**Basic Function**:
Financial accounting, closing and financial reporting, internal controls, fixed assets, policies and procedures.

**Scope**:
To support Assistant Financial Controller on accounting and reporting activities in the General Accounting team within the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) Finance Department. To execute activities across financial accounting, closing and financial reporting, internal controls, fixed assets and creation of policies and procedures.

**Interact with**:

- JHAH Finance (Financial Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis Director, Revenue Cycle Management Manager, Finance team)
- Relevant internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Legal, Medical, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Human Resources)

**Principal Duties**:
**a) Financial accounting**:

- Ensure finance and accounting activities are performed in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, agreements and are fully compliant with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Saudi GAAP
- Execute accounting activities to maintain the General and Subsidiary Ledgers to recognize / measure and record JHAH’s assets, liabilities, revenues, costs and expenditures

**b) Closing and financial reporting**:

- Facilitate the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for JHAH
- Prepare periodical financial statements and Shareholders’ reports on JHAH's financial stability, liquidity and profitability
- Support all statutory reporting to ensure that reporting requirements are met timely and accurately

**c) Internal controls**:

- Contribute to a strong internal control environment to achieve effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of financial reporting and compliance with all applicable laws
- Support internal review of accounting and administrative controls to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent / detect irregularities related to recognition, measurement, recording and reporting of financial transactions
- Provide assistance to external and internal audit teams during their regular reviews

**d) Fixed assets**:

- Work with the Fixed Assets Accounting team to ensure proper recording, depreciation and processing of fixed assets
- Help to ensure that the Fixed Assets SAP module is updated on a regular basis

**e) Policies and procedures**:

- Prepare and maintain JHAH’s financial policies and procedures based on best practices applicable to the healthcare industry

**f) Other responsibilities**:

- Participate in ad-hoc project team activities to achieve given targets
- Administer roles and responsibilities in the SAP system including access and read / write user rights
- Provide support in the development and maintenance of JHAH’s chart of accounts (COA)

**Education**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

**Experience**:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (experience in the Healthcare industry preferred)

**Certifications/Other requirements as applicable**:

- Fluency in both written and spoken English
