Senior Planning Engineer

We are an Interntional General Contracting organization with high Presence in GCC and seeking Experienced Senior Planning Engineer with more than 10 Years of Experience in Planning and Scheduling of Construction Engineering.

**Role Objective**:

- To ensure implementation of latest Operations Procedures Manual (OPM).
- To develop, approve and monitor the project schedules and ensure that all project milestones are achieved on time.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Studies contract documents to become fully knowledgeable of project requirements, specifications and constraints
- Prepares the annual business plan to ensure the achievement of the Company's overall objectives, in line with the company strategy.
- Ensures that all the requirements and constraints for: engineering, design, construction, procurement and delivery of material, availability of manpower and equipment are included in the schedule.
- Prepares weekly/monthly time management reports for the business unit management.
- Contributes and highlights to the management any foreseeable delays, risks or areas of concern and provide possible recovery strategies.
- Monitors the productivity of new/ongoing projects based on actual progress and provides feedback to estimation, cost control and operation functions.
- Supports and advises all sites in: Setting, monitoring and updating schedule, Monitor Cash flow report, Manpower and Equipment report, Any analysis of time impact as necessary
- Responsible for the allocation of planning engineers to the projects and managing them in coordination with the construction team.
- Supervises and checks the tender schedules with resulting resource histograms.
- Studies, reviews and internally approves the below aspects in the baseline schedule: Work Breakdown Structure, Productivity rates and the crew sizes used in planned durations, Subcontractor scopes and constraints, Critical Paths and Floats, Contract’s requirements and milestones, Cash in and cash out curves, Any other critical schedule information/constraints.
- Analyses the accelerated plans and performs crash analysis.
- Checks for accuracy and consistency in progress updates, critical path and near critical activity analysis, schedule change management, forecasts, recovery / revised plans, client and internal progress reporting, and providing timely output and accurate information to the construction team.
- Participates (if needed) in construction progress meetings across the projects to check the updated schedules and suggest corrective actions if any.
- Analyses the variation orders and evaluates their time impact.
- Supports the planning team in all issues related to planning and scheduling activities.

**Qualification and Skills Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Architect, Civil) or Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying.
- Certification in Programming Schedule Professional (PSP) or Project Management Institute - Scheduling Professional (PMI - SP), and Primavera Versions, Preferable Hands-on Power - BI.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction Planning and Scheduling.
- Good knowledge in common contract conditions format (FIDIC, JCT, Government etc), PMP Certification, Computer skills - Primavera Project Planner & Enterprise (Ver - 3.1 & 6.0), communications skills in English language (read, write and speak) and management skills.

Pay: ﷼18,000.00 - ﷼25,000.00 per month
