QA/qc Lead

STRUCTURAL is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This position is a growth opportunity for an aspiring leader and will focus on concrete repair and rehabilitation work across the Middle East.

Collectively, STRUCTURAL with its partners in Middle East form the most advanced and technologically integrated concrete specialty repair solution provider in Saudi Arabia and the GCC region in general. Our integrated investigate-design-build teams identify problems, create repair solutions, and implement repair projects for owners in commercial, industrial, power generation, and other key markets.

At STRUCTURAL, we spend our time working with our fully integrated repair companies to perform field investigations and develop repair solutions for existing structures and buildings. This position will be a role that requires in-depth knowledge of how concrete structures are designed and behave, including: industrial and power-generating buildings and structures; dynamic equipment foundations; and environmental (liquid-retaining) structures.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Perform and document inspections of concrete work to ensure compliance with the project requirements, specifications, project execution plans, codes, and industry standards.
- Manage a team of 3-5 QAQC Engineers/Technicians within the project
- Communicates effectively, preferably in English. Other languages are an advantage.
- Completes daily Quality Report, makes inspections of completed or partially completed works, engages with the team on quality related trainings, discussions etc.
- Enforces established job site policies, procedures, and standards of performance.
- Assemble data into reports and communicate results in writing and verbally ensuring completeness and accuracy of all inspection and testing records prior to submitting.
- Coordinate required paperwork and signoffs for owner acceptance.
- Sound expertise to responsibly elaborate proficient QA/QC documentation of civil repair construction projects. Develop & review all important QA/QC documents such as method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project. Proficient in handling / issuing inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations.
- Raises inspections via project management portal and engages with client team for joint visual inspection and close outs.
- Maintains as built drawings onsite, and coordinates with drafting team for timeous close out of project completion documents.
- Performs daily site walks of designated work areas, records photographs.
- Reviews project and task documentation, updates method of statements, ITP documents, reviews sub-con inspection/checklist.

**Position Requirements**:

- Quality Foreman with bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other Civil Construction Field
- Minimum 10 years working in the field of QA/QC with strong foreman background and related activities of all aspects of execution of civil construction works.
- Minimum 5 years expertise in the field of concrete repair, experience in coatings and waterproofing and/or cathodic protection of concrete is an advantage
