Technical Engineer

Technical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of technical systems and machinery in the industrial environment. This includes providing troubleshooting support, ensuring systems operate efficiently, and assisting with the integration of new technology or processes to improve production quality, safety, and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine and Equipment Support**:

- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as required.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement system enhancements that improve productivity, reduce downtime, and increase cost efficiency.
- Use engineering principles to assess and implement new technologies and automation solutions in production lines.
- **Project Management**:

- Participate in the planning and execution of industrial projects, from the initial concept to the final commissioning of equipment.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all technical requirements are met within the project scope.
- Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management for technical projects.
- **Technical Documentation and Reporting**:

- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and operation guidelines.
- Prepare technical reports on system performance, issues, and improvements.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and provide training to operators or other engineers on equipment.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure all equipment and systems comply with industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Support the implementation of safety procedures and provide technical support during safety audits.
- Conduct risk assessments on new machinery or systems and recommend improvements.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with production, quality control, and engineering teams to address technical challenges and ensure optimal operational performance.
- Provide technical training and support to operators and junior engineers.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers for procurement, technical support, and service contracts.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering.
- Propose and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance, cost-saving measures, and process efficiencies.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of industrial equipment and systems (e.g., CNC machines, automated production lines, HVAC systems, etc.).
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and process automation.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of industrial safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Certifications related to industrial machinery or systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools or IoT devices for machine health monitoring.
- Background in implementing automation or robotics in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in an industrial setting (e.g., ISO 9001, CE certification).
