We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous **Planning / Project Controls Director** for one of the largest construction companies in **Saudi Arabia**.

The **Planning / Project Controls Director** will be responsible for leading the planning and project controls function across major infrastructure projects and the company’s HQ. The role ensures accurate planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and risk management, while providing senior-level oversight and strategic insight to project timelines and resources.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead the planning and controls function across multiple major projects and business units.
- Develop and maintain master schedules, resource histograms, and progress tracking systems.
- Implement earned value management (EVM) and other project control methodologies.
- Oversee schedule risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, commercial teams, and clients to align on timelines.
- Produce and present regular reports to senior leadership on progress, delays, and recovery plans.
- Standardize planning procedures, tools, and systems across the organization.
- Mentor and develop a team of planners and project controls professionals.
- Contribute to project strategy and tender programs at the pre-contract stage.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:
**We are Looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and controls, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in managing project controls for large infrastructure projects, preferably airports or transportation hubs.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Previous experience in the GCC is highly desirable.
