Using the relevant company purchasing and inventory systems, as materials controller you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are ordered and effectively managed within the required timescales meeting internal and external customer requirement, specifications and schedules. You will also support your line manager with management of the stores team.What you’ll be doing:

- Place orders with nominated suppliers in line with purchasing policies and procedures
- Maintain good working relationships with suppliers
- Follow up on delivery queries, shortages etc. with suppliers
- Provide forecast volume information on products
- Keep the operation informed on product issues
- Carry out investigations into delivery failures and put corrective actions into place
- Carry out stock takes as necessary and use information to manage ordering levels
- Highlight any shelf-life issues to the operations team
- Liaise with the operations regarding menu and product changes promptly
- Ensure information is entered correctly on SAP and deal with troubleshoots promptly
- Reconcile theoretical and physical stock levels
- Ensure any quality issues are resolved with mínimal impact on the customer
- Ensure period end stock takes are correctly completed and entered onto SAP
- Manage wastage and stock holdings in line with targets
- Ensure all goods are received in line with due diligence and compliance targets
