  2. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    2.1. Specialty

    HSE Manager

    2.2. Education Degree

    Degree/Bachelors in in HSE

2.3. Technical knowledge

  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs.
  • NOBESH, OSHA certified
  • Attend health and safety committee meetings and compile reports/action plans following such meetings.
  • Risk Assessment and Management.
  • knowledge of safety protocols, regulations, and industry-specific standards.
  • Hazard Identification
  • Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Knowledge of emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, first aid protocols.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting.
  • Construction Safety

2.4. Experience

10 years and above in medium & large building facilities/ projects.

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

    3.1. Primary Functions

  2. Lead the development and implementation of digital health, safety and environment strategy

  3. Oversee contractor compliance with standard and regulations
  4. Ensure through investigation of incidents accident and near misses, verify root cause analysis and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
  5. Manage the distribution of tasks / visits across the H&S inspectors and verify that all ongoing activities are monitored by the deployed safety staff.
  6. Verify the implementation of safety policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance.
  7. Conducting risk assessment for ongoing activities
  8. Chair the safety awareness sessions, STBTs.
  9. Develop Job hazard analysis for the ongoing activities.
  10. Managing safety training
  11. Create awareness sessions related to the preventive measures that should be considered to prevent the occurrence of H&S accidents.

3.2. AUTHORITIES

As per Bureau Veritas polices

3.3. Technical Expertise

Ability to evaluate safety protocols, regulations as per international standards and industry practices.

3.4. QHSSE Responsibilities

Implementing BV safety programs within the team

Ensure the employees receive the required safety training

Ensure the employees receive proper PPEs

Enforcing safety rules

Including HSE KPIs in employees' yearly performance reviews.

Performing HSE campaigns to their employees.

Monitoring staff safety performance.

Create and update Risk Assessment for the department.

Participate in HSE Committee.

Assist the HSE team in the investigation.

Report hazards and incidents.

Create and update project QHSSE plans.

Always comply with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures, and practices.

Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative

Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.

Report immediately to HSE Representative about any HSE incident and cooperate in the investigation

Reporting all incidents and acting whenever they see an unsafe act or condition

Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).

Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety, or welfare.
