Job Title: Senior HSE Manager

Department: Health, Safety & Environment
Reporting To: Head of HSE / Project Director

Job Purpose:
The Senior HSE Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions at project and corporate levels. The role ensures compliance with HSE policies, promotes a strong safety culture, and provides strategic guidance to maintain a safe and sustainable working environment across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE management systems and procedures.
  • Supervise and guide HSE Managers, Engineers, and Officers across multiple project sites.
  • Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with company and client standards.
  • Monitor HSE performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting to management and clients.
  • Review and approve HSE plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure effective implementation of emergency response plans and drills.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities on all HSE-related issues.
  • Prepare and present regular HSE reports and performance summaries to senior management.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and conduct HSE awareness and training programs.
  • Support the Head of HSE in developing company-wide safety strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior role.
  • Strong background in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
  • Excellent knowledge of local HSE regulations, international standards, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems.
  • Ability to lead multiple project teams and work under pressure.
