The Technical Solution Specialist provides technical and product support to sales teams, resellers, and customers throughout the sales cycle. Responsibilities include developing solutions, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to define tailored solutions, participating in customer engagements, and supporting proposal development. Engineering expertise is applied to technology selection, design optimization, and adherence to standard processes. Additional duties include mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This position reports to the Technical Solutions Team Leader and is part of the Technical Sales Support Energy + department  located in KSA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be the technical go-to expert for sales teams and customers, guiding them through solution development and product selection.
  • Engage directly with clients and suppliers, conducting meetings and evaluations to clarify technical requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives by applying standard work processes and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate across functions, working with sourcing, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or Chemical, Process Engineering.
  • Industry Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in Energy Transition, Chemical, Refinery, and/or Oil & Gas industries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Costing Expertise: Experience in costing tabulation, including preparation and review of Material Requisitions (MRs) and supplier bid evaluations.
  • Project & System Knowledge: Experience with process design, material requisition preparation, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Specification Knowledge: Familiarity with local end-user specifications and standards, especially within the Middle East region.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Costing tabulation and budget estimation, including compiling cost data for pressure vessels and system components.
  • Vessel fabrication or estimation, with knowledge of materials, design standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • System engineering, including skids, valves, piping, and structural components.
  • Filtration systems and technologies used in Energy, Fuels & Chemicals applications.
