Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our database environments. This role requires deep expertise in high availability, data replication, and performance tuning, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Required Expertise:

  1. High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)

Design, implement, and maintain robust HA/DR solutions.

Expert-level hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.

Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting Failover Cluster Instances (FCI).

  1. Replication & Data Movement

In-depth knowledge of SQL Server Replication: Transactional, Merge, and Snapshot.

Practical experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and Change Tracking (CT) for data auditing and synchronization.

Management and securing of Linked Servers and cross-database queries.

  1. Database Performance & Management

Expertise in partitioning large tables to enhance performance and manageability.

  1. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Proactive database monitoring using tools like SQL Profiler and Activity Monitor.

Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues, blockings, and deadlocks.

  1. Security & Compliance

Implement and manage Auditing solutions to track data access and changes.

Enforce security policies and manage user Access Control.

  1. Soft & Management Skills

Excellent documentation practices and commitment to knowledge transfer.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with development teams and present to management.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create detailed post-incident reports.
