Job Purpose:

The candidate's role is to focus on technical leadership, overseeing detailed design resolution, site technical

issues, and ensuring all architectural outputs are buildable, coordinated, and compliant with the developers'

standards.

Main Activities, Functions, and Objectives

Key Responsibilities:


• Review and validate technical aspects of architectural drawings, details, specifications, and submittals.


• Ensure that all architectural documentation is coordinated, buildable, and aligns with local codes,

international standards, and the developer's design intent.


• Provide solutions for technical design issues encountered during construction.


• Lead coordination and resolution of site-level technical issues related to architectural works (interfaces,

tolerance mismatches, incomplete detailing)


• Review and guide contractor technical submissions, RFIs, and material selections in collaboration with

the site and head office design teams.


• Interface with structural, MEP, and façade teams to ensure a fully integrated and coordinated technical

solution


• Lead technical workshops and reviews to resolve conflicts before the construction or mock-up phases.


• Identify, review, and technically assess changes, ensuring that updated details are constructible and

coordinated with trades.


• Communicate the technical consequences of changes to commercial and planning teams.


• Ensure proper tracking and control of technical submissions, updated design packages, and feedback

from head office.


• Support authority-related documentation and compliance packages as needed (civil defense,

municipality approvals).


• Coordinate between site-based architect teams, consultants, and developer design management.

Job Title Technical Architect Manager

Reporting to Project Director/ Design Director.

REQUIRED: COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS


• Deep understanding of architectural detailing, construction techniques, and advanced coordination

methods.


• Familiarity with modern building envelope systems, high-performance materials, waterproofing, and

acoustic/thermal detailing.


• Well-versed in building codes, standards, and authority requirements (IBC, NFPA, local codes).


• Hands-on experience supporting shop drawings reviews, mock-ups, material submissions, and

solving the site-based technical issues


• Excellent understanding of design vs construction reality, with the ability to propose viable

alternatives or optimizations.


• Strong communicators able to collaborate across disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP, interiors).


• Capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including the developers'

leadership.


• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Navisworks for clash detection and

coordination.

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.


• 12-15 years of experience in architectural design and site execution with at least 5 years in technical

leadership or coordination role on large-scale commercial, office, or mixed-use projects.
