JOB PURPOSE:

The internal auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, according to the approved audit plan. In addition to assisting Senior levels within the department in carrying out specific tasks, through the Preparation and inspection of required audit samples in relevance to the assigned tasks. Direct communication with Auditees. Trained and instructed to comply with audit standards during assigned engagements. Preparing follow-up files for audit observations to ensure agreed recommendations. Monthly follow-up to acquire recommendations implementation status.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Adhering to the International Professional Practices Framework standards and the internal audit methodology.

2- Assist in conducting risk assessment for relevant functions to understand the control gaps and areas for improvement.

3- Testing the audit samples and internal controls according to the confirmed audit program to identify errors and gaps to deliver the Audit assignment objective.

4- Perform announced and unannounced visits of physical count activities as instructed to deliver reasonable assurance of the conducted procedure.

5- Assist in conducting special assignments and investigations as instructed by the audit manager, to support in drawing a proper conclusion.

6- Initiate process mapping and procedural workflow for relevant functions to elaborate process in the understanding phase.

7- Preparing follow-up files for audit observations to ensure agreed recommendations.

A monthly follow-up to acquire recommendations implementation status.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • +1-3 years of private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas.

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or a relevant degree

  • Preferably, Professional Training and Certifications in Internal Audit.
