Job Pupose
Design, implement, and oversee specialized training programs for Shooting, focusing on optimizing athlete performance across Shooting events such as Skeet, Trap, Pistol and Rifle events. This role is responsible for driving individual and team achievements by developing tailored coaching strategies, monitoring progress through data-driven metrics, and ensuring that all training aligns with high-performance standards. The High-Performance Manager collaborates closely with sports science, medical, and conditioning teams to foster athletes' physical and mental resilience, enabling them to excel in national and international competitions.

Job Specific Accountabilities
Technical Training & Development

  • Develop and implement specialized, event-specific training programs for Skeet, Trap, Rifle and Pistol events aligning with individual and team performance objectives.
  • Help monitoring training intensity and focus areas dynamically based on athlete progress, performance data, and upcoming competitive events, ensuring continuous improvement and peak performance readiness.

Athlete Performance Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, leveraging data insights to personalize training modifications that improve metrics endurance, technique, and competitive outcomes in Shooting.
  • Collaborate closely with sports scientists, strength and conditioning coaches, and medical staff to integrate tailored conditioning, recovery, and injury prevention strategies for each athlete, ensuring a holistic approach to performance management.
  • Deliver individualized feedback and coaching to address performance gaps, build on strengths, and foster resilience in high-stakes competition environments.

Competition Preparation & Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive pre-competition routines, including tailored warm-ups, and event strategy, and tactical planning specific to Shooting athletes.
  • Conduct targeted pre-competition sessions to enhance athletes' mental and physical readiness, covering strategic planning, focus techniques, and energy management aligned with event demands.
  • Lead detailed post-competition reviews with athletes and coaching staff, capturing lessons learned and refining training plans to address observed performance areas and optimize future outcomes.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all training activities adhere strictly to SOPC's safety and compliance protocols, prioritizing risk mitigation through appropriate equipment use and training methods.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Shooting regulations, ensuring all practices, training, and competitive preparations align with international standards and best practices.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, encouraging athletes to report health or safety concerns promptly and adjust training programs to prioritize well-being.
