We are looking for an
Infrastructure Automation SME
to enhance and expand automation across the SAMA infrastructure environment. The goal is to reduce manual operational tasks, improve efficiency, minimize incidents, and support long-term FTE reduction. This role requires strong scripting and automation skills across server, OS, network, and operational layers.

Location : Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (onsite)

Contract : 3 months, (extendable)

Experience : 6+ years

Candidates open to relocate to Riyadh are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance
  infrastructure automation workflows
  to eliminate manual tasks in day-to-day operations.
• Automate repetitive activities across servers, patching, monitoring, backups, and operational runbooks.
• Build automation using:
• PowerShell / Python / Shell Scripting
• Automation Anywhere
  or any automation/orchestration/RPA tool (intermediate)
• Ansible
  for configuration automation and task orchestration
• Analyze automation executions, identify failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Integrate automation with existing monitoring, alerting, and IT operations tools.
• Work closely with operations, NOC, and platform teams to identify new automation opportunities.
• Maintain dashboards, logs, reporting metrics, and performance indicators for automation initiatives.
• Ensure automation standards, compliance, and documentation are maintained.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills

• Automation Anywhere
  or any automation platform – Intermediate level
• PowerShell
  – Intermediate
• Python scripting
  – Intermediate
• Shell scripting
  – Intermediate
• Ansible
  – Beginner/Intermediate (playbook writing, automation tasks)
• Understanding of
  infrastructure components
  (Windows, Linux, VMware, network basics, monitoring tools)

Operational/Run Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis capability for automation workflows.
• Good monitoring skills to track automation health and job execution.
• Strong verbal and written communication for coordination with Infra Ops teams.
• Ability to work in a high-availability environment with strict SLAs.

Nice to Have

• Experience automating activities across:
• Server provisioning
• Patch management
• Backup processes
• Compliance checks
• System housekeeping
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Experience working in financial or regulated environments.
