Role overviewWe are seeking a strategic and experienced Supplier Acquisition Specialist to expand and strengthen Madar's supplier network. In this foundational role, you will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing suppliers while establishing effective processes and best practices for supplier acquisition and relationship management. You will build strong partnerships with key suppliers, enhance onboarding efficiency, and ensure seamless integration with our marketplace strategy. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams—including Operations, Business Development, and Customer Success—to deliver a smooth supplier experience and support Madar's overall growth objectives.
The Supplier Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in developing Madar's supplier ecosystem, with a particular focus on the cement and building materials sector. You will identify and evaluate potential suppliers, manage onboarding to the platform, and ensure their offerings align with Madar's logistics and marketplace solutions. The role also involves supporting commercial discussions, monitoring supplier performance, and contributing to initiatives that enhance supplier engagement and strengthen Madar's marketplace value proposition.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and acquire suppliers in the cement and building materials sector. ·
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Onboard suppliers onto Madar's efficiently.
- Align supplier capabilities with Madar's logistics solutions.
- Support contract negotiations and pricing discussions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide improvement recommendations.
- Strong experience in supplier and vendor management, including onboarding and relationship management.
- Deep knowledge of the cement, construction, or building materials supply chain preferred.
- Proven sales and business development abilities to generate leads and grow supplier network.
- Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and digital tools for supplier tracking.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Sales, Marketplace).
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum experience 3-7 years.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are considered an added advantage.
- Supplier/vendor management and onboarding, including relationship management
- Sales and business development, with proven ability to generate leads and grow supplier network
- Market research and analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and digital tools for supplier tracking
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams (Operations, Sales, Marketplace)
- Team collaboration and organization
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Fluent in English and Arabic
