As part of our expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team as we work on the Transmission UG 132 kV Cable Project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our project's execution systems.
Role Description
The assigned Safety Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Implementing and enforcing the project's Safety and Loss Prevention Program in full compliance with the NGSA 5-Star Safety and Health Management System.
- Conducting daily site safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
- Ensuring all work permits (PTW) are secured and adhered to.
- Leading safety meetings and investigations into any incidents or near-misses.
- Verifying that all personnel and equipment on site meet NGSA safety standards.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters with the NGSA Company Representative.
Qualifications
- Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Workplace Safety skills
- A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in a dedicated safety role within the high-voltage electrical transmission, substation, or underground cable installation sector.
- Official prior written approval from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) or National Grid SA (NGSA) for an individual with less than 10 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety policies
- Copies of professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
