Role overview

To function as a Bakery Chef De Partie (CDP) for the  Calo Kitchen and  work alongside the head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring orders and re-stocking. The successful candidate will employ their culinary skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

Experience in safe operation of commercial food equipment, including ovens, cook tops, slicers, etcLead, mentor and manage bakery teamMaintain standards for bakery  storage, rotation, quality and appearanceMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkersEnsure compliance with applicable health codes and regulationsCreating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customersPlanning, problem solving, and teamworkForecasting the Bakery Requirements ahead of timeDecorating pastries using different types of icing, toppings etc. and ensure a beautiful and exciting presentation. 

Ideal Candidate
Qualifications 

Must have had previous experience as DCDP or CDPMust have 3-5 years of experience  for the DCDP position, and 5-8 years for the CDP position within the hospitality or  catering industryMust be a proficient communicator in English Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility experience is a plus

Knowledge and competency

Exceptional proven ability in  kitchen managementAble  to  divide  responsibilities and monitoring progressOutstanding communication and leadership skillsUp-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
